The Crew won another Super Play last week, cashing on the Dallas-Washington under Sunday night -- thanks in some part to Tony Romo, who, for whatever reason, continues to struggle in big games. Romo, however, doesn't play defense (which allowed over 200 yards rushing) nor is he responsible for much of the play calling (which featured few if any screen passes, though the Redskins brought an extra man on seemingly every play). So while we aren't neccessarily big on Tony Romo, and probably never will be, he's not the problem in Dallas. Virtually every quarterback in the league would struggle given a leaky defense, an uneven coach and a meddlesome owner acting as his own GM. But we digress ...
The win continued our amazing, once-in-a-lifetime run and improved our record for the year to 21-9-2 (70 percent). Again, there's no way we will be able to maintain this type of success moving forward, so if you are thinking about jumping on the bandwagon now, we have one contraction for you: Don't. From here on it's either fade or stay away, because, honestly, we have no idea what we are talking about.
For the three people who care, our editorial staff is loading up on material for tomorrow, when we will have an extended Playhouse for the BCS title game, featuring, among other things, The Super Play of the Year. (Editorial note: If past Super Plays of the Year are any indication, there will be nothing particularly super about it -- unless you have the other side). Therefore, no thoughts or blantantly ripped off stats today...
