While the football season is young, The Crew has yet to lose a Super Play, cashing another winner Monday with Georgia Tech. In the interim, we have posted a couple dreadful plays on Twitter, but the administrator of that account is an impostor and doesn't speak for the firm, so please don't pay attention to his rantings.

A couple thoughts/stats before getting to Saturday's Super Play...

Lock of the Year: The Crew's game would not be received well in College Station, TX, and will never step foot there in our lifetime...

Houston is a total shit show. A year after winning 13 games, the Cougars lost its opener last week to Texas State, a 34.5-point underdog, prompting the resignation of offensive coordinator Mike Nesbitt on Monday.

We're not going to waste much space on a team from Conference USA, but that doesn't bode particularly well for head coach Tony Levine for a variety reasons, but none more so than dude's first major hire flamed out, including training camp, after essentially five weeks. Nice leadership...

Via Beyond the Bets, Urban Meyer's all-time non-conference record ATS is 35-7. Ohio St hosts Central Florida today as a 19-point favorite...

More from Beyond the Bets (see how that attribution thing works, ESPN): Oregon home games have gone over the total by more than a touchdown 18 of 22 times during the Chip Kelly era. The number today against Fresno St is 78 and rising...

Alabama, fresh off its impressive win against very overrated Michigan, is giving W. Kentucky 42 points today in Tuscaloosa. If you don't want to lay the points, you could bet the Tide straight up, but you'd need to risk $62,500 to win $100, according to pregame.com's Johnny Detroit...

Another solid investment idea: $10,000 money line parlay today on Virginia Tech, Florida St, Georgia Tech, Oklahoma, Tennessee and TCU would pay out $16.23...

After Utah St beat Utah Friday, 27-20, winning straight up as a 7-point dog, the Mountain West and WAC are a combined 11-0 vs FBS teams this year, according to Matt McMurphy, a college football reporter for something called ESPN, which at one-time employed journalists...

Given the chance to change his preseason BCS title game prediction of Florida State and Oklahoma, ESPN's Desmond Howard told Chris Folwer on Game Day this morning that he doesn't want to overreact based on one week, and barring an injury to a marquee player he's sticking with his pick. Desmond, who is paid handsomely to provide his college football insights to a mass audience, must have missed this...

Former Caesar's sportsbook director Todd Fuhrman talked with Dave Mason of Betonline.com about some the week's line movement...
