MARCH 14, 2009

Man, the Crew has not been able to catch a break lately, with another under .500 day last Saturday. Wine, however, is best served with cheese, so you're not going to catch us complaining about our recent run of tough luck. There's only one thing to do: Get back on the horse.

JBP to date: 55-42 (56.7 percent)
Today's plays: Auburn +4.5 vs. Tennessee; ASU -1.5 vs. USC.

Auburn is playing better than anyone in the SEC (Yes, we do realize that's a bit like saying the Jumbo Jack is the best thing on the Jack-in-the-Box menu), winning five in a row and nine of 10. Tennessee is erratic and relies much too much on the three-point shot -- which is somewhat bizarre considering they don't have a knockdown shooter on the team.

Arizona State, after losing three in a row in late February, has now won three in a row, all coming by double digits against NCAA tournament teams Washington and Cal and one that's currently on the bubble in Arizona.
USC knocked ASU out of tournament consideration a year ago, and the Sun Devils would love to return the favor this afternoon.
