The Playhouse could not have been happier with our effort on Sunday, especially coming on the heels of a winless Saturday. We went 3-0, including a razor-thin half-point cover in the Pats-Colts game. Tiger knows we have been beat like that before, so it was nice to come out on the right side of that one. Our sympathies go out to the poor bastards out there who had New England on the money line. Talk about tough beats.

Winning time

Longtime readers of The Playhouse know college hoops is the time of year when we make our biggest profits. There are so many teams and so many games each and every night, it's literally impossible for the oddsmakers to be as meticulous as they are for most sports. That's where we come in.

Expect a play at least three or four times a week, most often involving conferences and teams you know nothing or very little about. Mind you, there won't necessarily be a Super Play each post, like college football and the NFL, but these will nonetheless be company-backed Playhouse plays. On Saturdays and a few selected Sundays, however, you can count on at least one Super Play.

Also, much of the weekday posts from here on out will be short, sweet and to the point. We'd rather spend the lion share of our time doing research and updating our power rankings. The weekend posts, however, will be what you have come to expect.

Let the plays begin!

The Plays (not Super)

Utah State is better than Utah; the points are a gift. Utah State +3

Northwestern is decent at home, but leading scorer Kevin Coble is out with an injury.
Butler has Sweet Sixteen talent. Butler -5
