The Crew made a very regrettable pick yesterday, going with Tulsa +3.5, even going as far as saying that the Golden Hurricanes were better than Houston. Well, 41-16 later and we got exposed yet again. Which got us thinking: Was that our worst pick/prediction of the year? Hardly. Before the season started, if you remember correctly, we wrote that LSU was overrated and that there was 'no chance' they were a national title contender. That's gold.

Couple thoughts before the Super Play...

Thankfully no Penn St takes today. But Franco Harris is still an asshole...

Nothing about horribly bad, awful and embarrassing ASU, either -- except to say that AD Lisa Love needs to get on the horn with Jim Tressel. Sure, dude resigned from Ohio St amid NCAA violations. But a lot has happened since then (Penn St allowing a serial child rapist to roam campus for more than a decade) and suddenly lying about a couple dudes getting some ink doesn't seem so bad. Tressel brings everything ASU is not: discipline, physicality and intelligence. Who knows if he'd be willing to take the job -- or maybe more importantly, if he'd be able to recruit on the West Coast -- but he's The Crew's number one choice...

Tim Tebow is winning somehow, but he still sucks. Former Broncos quarterback Jake Plummer said in a radio interview this week that, while he liked Tebow's game, wished he would stop thanking Jesus every three seconds for things that Jesus, if he is as great as Tebow thinks he is, could probably care less about, like a football game, for instance. Tebow responded by saying,

If you're married, and you have a wife, and you really love your wife, is it good enough to only say to your wife 'I love her' the day you get married? Or should you tell her every single day when you wake up and every opportunity?

No, dogg, that's not the same thing. Listen, if you love your wife, you should tell her everyday and make sure she knows it. But you shouldn't, however, randomly tell total strangers or your co-workers each chance you get, because that's weird and awkward.

Some Internet reports surfaced this week that Urban Meyer is set to take the Ohio St job. We don't doubt that. We do doubt that Kirk Herbstreit will join his staff as quarterbacks coach, which has also been reported. Herbstreit makes at least seven figures as a college football analyst for ABC and ESPN. He's not going to quit to take a 90 percent pay cut to be an assistant at Ohio St...

Super Play of the Day

We're pretty sure Michigan hasn't beat Ohio State since the Civil War. They may do it today, but not by this over inflated number. Buckeyes +9

Other picks
Michigan St -6
Tennessee -7.5
