The loss dropped our record for the year to 6-6. All things considered, it's not awful, especially given some of our recent plays (Clemson last week and Utah this).
Because we have a four month old, which is also terrible and ruining people's lives, we have a very short take today. We are, however, completely mailing it in at work the next few days, so expect a more robust showing next Saturday and Sunday...
If you were with us last week -- and maybe four of you were -- you know that most football fans are basically boorish, Budweiser swilling louts who have no idea what goes into setting a betting line -- which, again, is no small thing. It is very important contextualizing information that is crucial in order to have full understanding concerning not only individual games but the ebbs and flows that occur within the scope of the season.
Oklahoma was a touchdown favorite in some spots yesterday. But that didn't stop these a-holes from taking to Twitter to post the following:
No big deal, really. Just a random dude who doesn't know what the hell he's talking about. Harmless.

This is worse. According to its Twitter bio, TDdaily Magazine fancies itself as the 'home for all things football.'

This is much worse. A former player and current sports radio host. At least we know he probably never shaved points

And this is ghastly. Either Barnhart, who of course is Mr. College Football, knows the spread and he's trying to appear smarter than he really is to his clueless readers. Or he doesn't know the spread, which means he's a moron. Either way, it's ridiculous
Who's on Upset Alert? How about No. 10 Texas Tech (7-0) at Oklahoma. OU leads the nation in passing defense (149.7 ypg).

Super Play
Atlanta +2.5
** Concerned about this one, but as we discussed yesterday, there is a very strong trend backing it up. Plus, Carson Palmer is just awful.
