December 26, 2010

Happy holidays and Merry belated Christmas. We hope everyone was able to celebrate the birth of Jesus with friends and family and not how The Crew did, which was to take in perhaps one of the worst movies ever, The Fighter. It was cliched, the story was unfocused, the dialogue was boring and the ending was entirely predictable. Other than that it was a tremendous cinematic achievement. We heard that this piece of garbage got nominated for a Golden Globe. Jesus (pun intended), it must have been a bad years for movies.

No plays yesterday, but it was really nice to see Big Red win and take themselves entirely out of the Andrew Luck sweepstakes. John Skelton didn't play poorly, especially considering he's a rookie making his third start. But we can't believe that he's the long term answer. We, however, also don't like Ryan Mallett or Cam Newton, both of whom will probable be there when the Cards pick. Might be time to add some beef up front and see if the kid can play.

SUPER PLAY OF THE DAY

The Jags are coming off a crushing to defeat to Indianapolis last week, when they had an opportunity to win the division out right. David Garrard and Maurice Jones-Drew are both hobbled, and Jones-Drew probably is out. Also consider Jacksonville haven't covered in their last eight games coming off a division loss. Redskins +6

OTHER PLAYS

Jets +3
Bucs - 5.5
