October 9, 2011

The Crew went a very workmanlike 2-1 yesterday, including yet another Super-Play winner with K-State taking out Missouri outright as a five-point dog at home. That means we've hit five of our six Super Plays in college so far this season.

Couple other thoughts from yesterday...

Arizona has lost ten in a row to FBS teams. Again, ten in a row. Mike Stoops is clearly on the hot seat, but be careful what you wish for, Wildcat fans, you just might get it. He took over a terrible situation after John Mackovic decimated the program, rebuilt the roster and has taken Arizona to three straight bowl games. There isn't an established coach out there who would take that job...

Speaking of the hot seat, Florida State's Jimbo Fisher should be on it. The Seminoles, 2-3 after losing to Wake yesterday, have been the biggest disappointment of the season. It was a ridiculous hire to begin with, giving that job to someone so unproven. It's even more ridiculous when you consider FSU handed him an extension in January...

We said it a couple weeks ago, and it's even more clear this morning: Alabama, LSU and Oklahoma are far better than everyone else...

Super Play of the Day

One of the chief tenets of gambling is never bet a game involving two bad teams. The Crew is breaking that today. Cincinnati, statistically, has the no. 1 defense and  Jacksonville has the worst offense, averaging a league-low 9.7 points a game. We don't expect too many points here, especially with two rookie quarterbacks who have made six career starts between them.

Bengals-Jags under 36.5

New England -7
Arizona +3.5
