Very humbling Sunday for The Crew, who fell into the trap of wanting to bet against all things Tebow. A far better play may have been to grab nine points and the Giants, who won outright in New England. According to sources, some employees of Joe Berger Inc, including, but not limited to the CEO, may have done that out of their personal offshore accounts late yesterday, just before the 1:15 PST kickoff. Why this information wasn't relayed to those on the editorial side is the matter of an internal investigation. Stay tuned for details as they emerge.

Today marks the start of the college hoops season, which The Crew generally finds unwatchable but ironically is probably their handicapping strength. Six foot-five white guys with no hope of playing in the NBA who can't finish at the rim during a layup line are an ever dwindling source of entertainment for us. Still, there is money to be made and tonight is no exception.

Super Play of the Day

Whether he was scoring the ball himself or drawing double and triple teams in the post, ultimately leading to wide open looks for teammates, Derrick Williams was the Arizona offense last season. He, of course, is no longer there, and without him the Wildcats look terrible, having already lost at home to Seattle Pacific in their exhibition opener 10 days ago. These points are a gift that you may not even need.
