The crew, for various reasons, took some time off. It was, in fact, our biggest hiatus of the young year, which is not entirely a bad thing; it's better not to bet at all than to do so too much.
We were thankful Arizona managed to cover -- but not win -- in our last play. ASU, which has now won four in a row from its in-state rival, almost managed to blow 17-point second-half lead. Thankfully, UofA still hasn't gotten the scouting report on Rihard Kuksiks: He's a shooter, who, if forced to put the ball on the deck, has trouble making an uncontested layup. Apparently word has filtered out to the Cats, who gave him two wide-open looks down the stretch that helped the Devils pull out the win -- but not the cover.
No plays tonight, either (though, we were tempted to go with Niagara at home against Siena). But, rest assured, the posse will be back in full force tomorrow with at least a couple plays.
JPB to date: 52-34 (60.5 percent)
