Berger,
Look for the Ducks to win out against Trojans at Autzen. Your thoughts?

Brian,
Thanks for being The Playhouse's most committed and best fan. Also, big ups from the crew for the North Carolina pick earlier in the week.
While going against USC is no way to make some cabbage in the long run, we'll definitely be getting to a window in support of Oregon today. Anytime you can grab some points in Autzen, take 'em -- regardless of who the Ducks are playing.
Super Play
Since losing to Miami on a Thursday night game last month, Georgia Tech has found its groove, winning six in row. The Yellow Jackets now step out of conference to face Vanderbilt on the road in Nashville, where the Commodores haven't covered a spread in nearly a year. Also consider, they have scored more than 13 points only twice in their last eight games against DI competition. Look for the Yellow Jackets' potent running game to have a field day against downtrodden and unmotivated Vandy. Ga Tech -11.
Other plays
Duke +7
Oregon +3
Miami -6.5
Worst bet of the week
UNLV -2. The Rebels won, but it meant we had to watch part of their game against New Mexico. All hyperbole aside, we are certain there are at least two high school teams in the Phoenix that would be competitive against the Lobos, who have to be the worst team in the country.
Most absurd thing of the week
Chris Collinsworth saying Kurt Warner, who went from bagging groceries to playing in the NFL, should get into the hall of fame not because of his numbers (three Super Bowl appearances and 30,000 yards passing) or accomplishments (an MVP award) but because of his "story." It's like saying Jim Abbott, who pitched in the major leagues despite only having one hand, should be in Cooperstown. Nice stories are fun, but they alone do not make a hall of fame career. Warner's numbers are easily enough.
