March 21, 2013

After hitting over 70 percent of our football plays (We swear. It sounds ridiculous, and it'll will never happen again, but on the health of our children we swear it's true) our first basketball Super Play this season went down in flames, with Boise providing little defensive resistance to LaSalle, which collectively shot like Larry Bird unguarded for a good portion of the game.

The loss was to be expected considering how little we know about college basketball, having not followed it virtually at all this year. We were hoping somewhat counter-intuitively that such ignorance might be our ace in the hole come tournament time, but initially at least it appears to be a liability. Couple takes before the Super Play (fade city)...

LeBron is good, LIU is not, and when we look back on it, the uneasiness created by the NFL's new helmet rule will seem silly. Our call: it's a non-issue after Week 3, if even then.
