The NCAA tournament came and went without so much as a whimper from The Crew, who hit one of four Super Plays and lost countless other bets. However, the real loser: The American public, which, save for the admittedly fantastic championship game on Monday night, was duped into watching three miserable weeks of basketball. And if the play on the court wasn't bad enough, the officials were even worse, never missing a chance  to interject themselves into the action. It goes without saying that we will not be marking our calendars for the start of next year's college basketball season.

Moving on to other business, The Crew is happy to announce that we have hired a new soccer insider to contribute to our award winning Across the Pond feature. Agent Q, who will also supply content during football season and mentioned something about Formula One, has extensive experience working in the low-stakes handicapping space, having wagered with very little success on sports for nearly 15 years.  He also is an accomplished ventriloquist and enjoys wearing jean shorts. Please join us in welcoming him to the team -- his plays have no chance.

Across the Pond

I am honored and humbled that The Crew begged me to fill the gaping content hole in the Playhouse. Though most Americans turn a blind eye to European soccer, there are serious opportunities for ROI. Over the past five years, I have been perfecting an algorithm -- simply known as the Q-Gorithm -- for what many around the globe know simply as the "beautiful game." And while American football sucks, and you shouldn't watch it, I may cover some MLS action later this season, because, hey, you can make some money there, too. But for now, lets get on with Saturday’s play in the Barclay's.

SOUTHAMPTON VS. WEST HAM UNITED

If Southampton can reproduce the form they showed in beating Liverpool and Chelsea at St Mary’s last month, then the hosts will be nearly impossible to beat. West Ham has struggled to score on the road, having tallied only nine goals in 16 games away from home this season. Even so, considering Southampton's well-documented back-line struggles, backing both sides to score might be the best bet here, but the Q-Gorithm says to take the home side…

Bet Southampton to win @ -125

(Editor's note: We basically have no idea what any of this means)
