December 20, 2009

Wow, not The Crew's best effort yesterday, going a big, fat 0-4. And, quite frankly, none of our plays were even close. It's enough to make us want to take an indefinite leave from making picks to deal with our "transgressions," become better handicappers and people.

The Playhouse, however, runs from nothing and no one. We show up after 3-0 days, meaning we have to be here after 0-4 ones.

Super Play of the Day

The Seahawks are not a good football team, but they have been good to The Playhouse this year. We'll ride them again this week based on a couple favorable trends. For one, the favorite is 12-1 ATS in Seattle games this year. Also consider that since 2004 they are 11-1-1 ATS at Qwest Field in December and January. While we usually don't like make plays on games involving two bad teams, this one is an exception. Seahawks -6.5

Other play

Kansas City/Cleveland under 37.5

Record to date: 47-47-1 (50 percent)

Most Absurd thing of the Day

Wyoming fans storming the field after winning the New Mexico Bowl.

Second Most Absurd thing of the Day

Fresno St losing to Wyoming in the New Mexico Bowl. There are more than few legitimate NFL prospects playing for the Bulldogs. Wyoming has zero players with a chance of playing in the UFL.
